Building from L
There must have been dreams of Acceptance,
and a yearning to surrender
The horizon and the vertical dimension
To be constructed in stainless steel,
interior painted white, translucent
membrane roof

Leendert Hasenbosch

Hasenbosch (1695-1725) was set ashore on the uninhabited volcanic Ascension Island in the South Atlantic Ocean in 1725 as a penalty for being found guilty of sodomy while working as a bookkeeper onboard a ship belonging to the Dutch East India Company. After approximately six months on the island he died of dehydration.
